This workshop aims to expose the participants the global water cycle, the distribution of freshwater resources, and the specific challenges faced in managing water resources sustainably. The participants also will learn about effective water conservation techniques theoretically applicable in various contexts, including agricultural, industrial, and residential settings. Additionally, the participants will engage in practical, hands-on activities to understand how different water filtration systems work. This includes constructing and testing various types of filters, such as charcoal, sand, and membrane filters, to learn about the mechanisms and effectiveness of each in purifying water and removing contaminants.
